Having spent much time, as a docent, on the Battleship New Jersey, I was curious to know how she compared in size, weight, speed, etc., to the now infamous Mavi Marmara. I’m sure that you have not forgotten that the Mavi Marmara was the boat which tried to carry its ship of fools to Gaza.
What I discovered may come as somewhat of a surprise to you. Although the boat’s sponsors and crew claimed that she was a peaceful cruise ship, and others dubbed her simply a harmless oil toting tanker, yet others asserted that she was just a friendly freighter. In truth, her crew was comprised of modern day cut throats that were hell bent on creating a violent confrontation with Israel’s naval forces. Their supposed peaceful mission, as it turns out, was nothing but a ruse, a subterfuge reminiscent of the Trojan Horse.
Of course the UN, European Union, and most of the International Community condemned Israel before the facts surfaced. No surprise there! Now the same gaggle of geese wants to investigate Israel’s culpability in that fiasco. If they find Israel innocent of wrong doing then they will be admitting to their own bias against Israel, for having condemned her before acquiring the facts. Fat chance of that happening! As it turns out, we now know that those pipe wielding champions of humanitarianism were more intent on delivering murder and mayhem than humanitarian aid.
But I digress. Now getting back to my original investigation, as to what kind of vessel was the Mavi Marmara. I can report to you, as a result of my exhaustive research, I have learned that the bigot frigate is classified by the International Register of Shipping, as a THUG BOAT.
