Chicago's non-Ethics

Why is it that Louis Farrakkahn who is anti-Gay Marriage, in addition to being a virulent racist and anti-Semite, was welcomed to Chicago by Mayor Rahm Emanuel?  I'm sorry Mr. Mayor, but don't welcome a moral degenerate to clean up a corrupt and violent city. Or maybe you do.
